After getting everything loaded, we have to go down the street about 5 houses to get to the McCuens "Old House". With truck and trailer loaded, Brooks attempts to pull out; but isn't real sure if it is going to be that easy. |

After pulling up at the "old house", Brooks decided that he needed to try to get the front end of the trailer up a little for traveling. I know this must have wore him out, because it made me tired just watching him. |

Time to get busy again and get the last few things on the trailer. |

Now this was the interesting part. First we get the desk loaded and then put in as many boxes as would fit. Brooks does one last measure and it is perfect!! Just enough room for the freezer. We get the freezer loaded and guess what happened then. Brooks forgot to allow for the width of the door once it was shut. Oops. Not a problem, Brooks decides we can just take the door off the freezer. And yes, it worked!! I didn't have my camera to capture this moment but now you know "the rest of the story".
All joking aside now.....Brooks it has been fun teasing you about your measuring tape, but let me tell you; if it weren't for you we would have never got all that stuff in there. You know exactly how to do it!!! Thanks for all the time that you put into making sure that the soldiers get all the help they need!! You are "The Best"!!! |

Today I met a very special lady, Marie Vasquez; she is the proud wife of SSG Francisco Vasquez, who is currently a flight medic attached to 57th MED in Iraq. I also got the pleasure of meeting their two boys, Jeremiah and Isaac; and their niece, Elisa Brown. Elisa has been living with Marie for the last few months because both of her parents are in Iraq at this time. |

John and Tanja, now it is time to say Good-Bye to the "old house" and hello to the "new". There must be lots of pleasant memories in this house but we know that you will make many more memories in your new home.
I was proud to be a part of this today and would love to come and see you sometime!! Tell the girls that I said "Hello" and thank them for being such wonderful girls!!! |
