Kentucky Vietnam Veterans Memorial
As you can tell by the expression on my PGR bother's face, this is a very emotional memorial.
Notice the sundial in the middle of the Memorial, as the sun moves slowly across the sky every day the sundial moves over every individual name that has been placed on this Memorial.  It was a very touching time for me and I am so glad that Lady Ranger decided to have the staging at this area.  I will never forget getting to see this Memorial, as my father is a Vietnam Veteran.
As I walked around the Memorial I noticed that there were different sections.  On the lines between each section, that made the circle around the sundial, where words that described those days…..
I made photos of all the sayings, but instead of putting all the photos on the webpage I decided to just post the words.
A time for war…And a time for peace
A time to Love…And a time to hate
A time to keep silence…And a time to speak
A time to rend…And a time to sew
A time to keep…And a time to cast away
A time to seek…And a time to lose
A time to embrace…And a time to refrain from embracing
A time to cast away stones…And a time to gather stones together
A time to mourn…And a time to dance
A time to weep...And a time to laugh
A time to break down…And a time to build up
A time to kill…And a time to heal
A time to plant…And a time to pluck up what is planted
A time to be born…And a time to die
For everything there is a season…And a time for every matter under heaven
Then down at the bottom of the hill were these monuments to explain the Memorial.  And then over to the side was a book that had the casualties listed by County for the state of Kentucky.
A staging that I will never forget.
